1. Hydrate – Your skin produces less moisture with age and when your complextionis dry and dehydrated, lines and wrinkles become more obvious.
“You don’t want makeup settling in those lines, so you want to use a good moisturizer to plump them up,” says Dr. Kim Nichols.

2. Tweak how you Apply Foundation – For a more natural look, she recommends applying foundation only to the center of the face, then blending it outwards towards the sides.
“Too much product can be an instant ager. You don’t need foundation all over your face,” says Andersen.
3. Skip Powder – Because skin gets drier with age, applying powder at the end of your makeup routine is usually unnecessary. Andersen suggests skipping powder entirely or replacing it with a bit of shimmery bronzer.
